Passing the verification procedure

KYC

What is KYC?

KYC (Know Your Customer) is a policy used by financial institutions (including cryptocurrency exchanges) to verify identity. It requires the collection of the client’s data and the provision of documents – a passport, ID card, driver’s license. 

Identity Verification with a Passport

  1. Hover over your avatar in the upper right corner of the screen and click “Account Settings”.
  2. In the menu that appears, press “KYC”. Here find the item “Verify ID” and click “Pass the check”.
  3. Please check the identity verification procedure. Then scan the QR code with your phone’s camera (to continue on a mobile device) or press “Continue on this device”.
  4. Review the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy, check the appropriate boxes and click “Next”.
  5. Next, the system offers to select the country of location and the document type — passport. After that, take a photo of the 1st and 2nd pages of your passport in expanded form, as per instructions on the screen, upload them and click “Confirm and Continue”.

  6. Upon uploading the document photographs, you need to go through a liveness-detection check — take a selfie (take a photo with a front-facing camera). The system will automatically request access to the smartphone front camera or the PC/laptop webcam. After that, you need to look into the camera while turning your head, thus filling the screen bars. Make sure the room is bright enough to see your face clearly on the screen. When all the bars are filled, a notification about the check results will appear on the screen. In some cases, it may require going through the liveness-detection check again.

Then the system takes some time to check the data. The verification results will be sent to your email address.

Bank Card Verification

  1. Hover over your avatar in the upper right corner of the screen and click “Account Settings”. 
  2. In the menu that appears, press “KYC”. Here find the item “Verify the bank card” and click “Pass the check”.
  3. Please upload the front side photo of your bank card. The card must be issued by the bank of the country of your residence. The owner’s name shown on the card must match the user’s name. All data and corners of the bank card must be clearly visible in the frame. If you link an unnamed card (or a card without a number) to your account, please contact support and provide an extract from the card-issuing bank.  

Then the system takes some time to check the data. The verification results will be sent to your email address.

Why is KYC not giving me more attempts to upload documents

Sometimes it happens that this feature is deactivated after several failed attempts. In this case, contact support and describe the situation in detail.

Why KYC Won’t Accept My Credit Card

Make sure the data and all corners of the document are visible to the camera. Also, the photo should not have glare.

Also, the service accepts only cards with the specified owner’s name and cards issued in the user’s country of residence. If these conditions are not met, the system will refuse your verification. If you use an unnamed card (or a card without a number), contact support and provide a card-issuing bank statement.

Why KYC won’t accept my passport

Ensure that the room has enough light and the data is visible to the camera and all corners of the document. Also, the photo should not have glare.
